CMJ College, Madhubani (established in 1969) is a premier institution of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga. . It was granted affiliation upto Intermediate in Arts standard by Bihar University Muzaffarpur in the year 1970. In the year 1980 it was declared the constituent unit of L.N. Mithila University Situated Indo- Nepal border, This College has been serving the academic needs of people of both the Countries.
218 Research Scholars registered for Ph. D degree are carrying their research projects under the teachers of this college in different subjects. The NET/SET Coaching has hugely benefited them as they happen to learn the research methodology and other related aspects in a better way.
It is pertinent to mention that after the commencement of NET/SET coaching many students belonging to above categories are getting better opportunity for qualifying NET/SET examinations. It improves the academic skill of the students of various subjects also strengthens their knowledge, skills and moral values.
More than 20 students have competed in NET and CSIR examinations. The college administration is taking special care for improvement and better functioning of NET/SET Coaching.

Chethru Mahto Janta Mahavidyalay is situated in 5.75. acres of land in the rural area of Madhubani district. All the sections of the Administrative block are computerized. There is a facility of Internet, Fax, Xerox, in almost all the important departments of the College. Audio visual unit and warless sound amplification unit are available in the Conference hall, Staff room and Principal Chambers. The Central library is Computerized with internet facility. It is the process of E- Library. There is no shortage of energy due to available of high power generators and inverter sets.
